General Information
1. What is MD Anderson's Boot Walk to End Cancer®?
The Boot Walk is MD Anderson’s signature peer-to-peer fundraising walk which raises funds for all cancers. Taking place on Saturday, Nov. 15 in the Texas Medical Center and virtually, this 1.2-mile walk encourages participants to wear their favorite pair of boots (optional) to symbolize giving cancer the boot. 2. Who needs to register for the Boot Walk?
For safety reasons, everyone walking on event day, including children, must register.
3. How much is registration, and do I have to fundraise?
Registration is free, and there is no minimum fundraising requirement. However, fundraising participants can earn exclusive rewards and/or designate funds raised.
4. I've participated before, but the website doesn’t recognize me. How do I register?
If you did not participate in 2024, you must create a new account. Register here.
Teams & Fundraising
5. Can I form a team for the walk?
Yes! Creating a team makes the Boot Walk experience even more fun. If you registered as an individual but want to join or start a team, follow these instructions.
6. What does a Team Captain do?
Team Captains recruit members, set fundraising goals, and create a game plan for event day. The Boot Walk Guidebook and Fundraising Tools provide tips and resources to help.
7. Where can I find fundraising tools?
Fundraising resources are available in your fundraising dashboard (clicking the Resources button) and on the Boot Walk website under the Toolkit tab.
8. Can you help me with fundraising?
Absolutely! Once registered you’ll receive:
• Coaching.
• Access to pre-loaded fundraising tools and messages.
• Access to the DonorDrive app (iPhone or Android)for fundraising on the go.

Alternatively, you can visit a Cashier's Office at MD Anderson and complete a Cashier's Memo to credit your donation appropriately. More details here.
Fundraising for the Boot Walk concludes Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.
Earning your official Boot Walk T-shirt is easy! Just follow these three steps:
1. Register for MD Anderson’s Boot Walk.
2. Select your T-shirt size during registration.
3. Raise $100, and make sure your fundraising barometer reflects at least $100 raised.

Yes. Team shirts featuring the Boot Walk logo or cancer strikethrough graphic must be pre-approved by MD Anderson. MD Anderson’s logo or other trademarked assets cannot be used.
Guidelines for the cancer strikethrough graphic:
• You must use the official art file as-is, with no modifications.
• Must use the official art file without modifications.
• Must appear alone on a surface (e.g., front or sleeve), separate from other designs.
• Cannot be placed on busy backgrounds or colors that obscure the red strikethrough (e.g., red, dark pink, dark orange).
