Opening Ceremony: 9:00 a.m. CDT. The link to watch will be sent to registered participants.
Get the most out of your personal Boot Walk:
- Watch the opening ceremony with your teammates before setting off on your walk
- Coordinate your team outfits.
- Fill out and wear your “I give cancer the boot for” sign.
- Gather friends and family to join your walk.
- Share selfies or videos from the day at a post-event virtual celebration with your team. Post them on social media with #EndCancer.
- Download the Boot Walk app and use the sticker feature to add your own virtual start line and then track your steps to add to the total miles all participants walk on event day. For Apple and Android devices.

Wear your Boot Walk event T-shirt. Registered walkers who raise a minimum of $100 earn the 2023 Boot Walk shirt. T-shirt's are being mailed to qualifiers who earn their shirt by Friday, Oct. 22 11:59p.m CDT. Those that earn their shirt after can pick it up on event day or it will be mailed post-walk. Dress comfortably. Boots are encouraged but not required. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Increase your chances of getting noticed by stopping at the Spirit Gear tent on event day for dedication bibs, stickers, temporary tattoos and more! Virtual participants can take advantage of virtual spirit gear, available for download in your participant center. |
